Cold rolled steel soil is steel produced by cold rolling. Cold rolling is to further roll No. 1 steel plate to the target thickness at room temperature. Compared with hot-rolled steel plate, cold-rolled steel plate has more accurate thickness, smooth and beautiful surface, and also has various superior mechanical properties, especially processing properties. Because the cold-rolled original coil is brittle and hard, it is not suitable for processing, so generally, the cold-rolled steel plate is required to be delivered to the customer after annealing, pickling and surface leveling. The maximum thickness of cold rolling is less than 0.1-8.0mm. For example, the thickness of cold rolled steel plate in most factories is less than 4.5mm; The minimum thickness and width are determined according to the equipment capacity and market demand of each cold rolling steel coil supplier.
What is the difference between cold rolled steel and stainless steel
1. Different functions
Cold rolled steel has high hardness (HRB greater than 90) and poor machinability because it has not been annealed. It can only carry out simple directional bending less than 90 degrees (perpendicular to the coiling direction). Stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance, formability, compatibility and strength and toughness in a wide temperature range.
2. Production method
Cold rolling is processed from hot-rolled plate at room temperature. Although the steel plate will be heated due to rolling in the processing process, it is still called cold rolling. Stainless steel, which is resistant to weak corrosive media such as air, steam and water or stainless steel, has many manufacturing methods.
3. Apply
Cold rolled steel is widely used in general structural parts and stamping parts of engineering machinery, transportation machinery, construction machinery, hoisting machinery, agricultural machinery, light industry and civil industries.
Stainless steel is widely used in curtain walls, side walls, roofs and other architectural purposes. Stainless steel itself has good corrosion resistance and can still maintain its excellent physical and mechanical properties at high temperatures. It is also widely used in the field of 3D printing.
How to package cold rolled steel coil to prevent rust?
Cold rolled steel coils are generally sprayed with antirust oil, which can be divided into three types: light, medium and heavy oil according to user requirements. Nevertheless, if the oil volatilizes or is in a humid environment, the steel plate is exposed to moisture, which indicates that it begins to rust after a period of time.
In order to prevent the steel coil from rusting during storage or transportation, the steel factory generally adopts the following packaging methods: the inner layer is wrapped with vapor phase antirust paper and sealed with adhesive tape, the middle is wrapped with plastic film, the inner coil is lined with cardboard, cardboard corner protection, the outer layer is wrapped with iron sheet and corner protection, and bound and fixed with steel belt. If the inner package is tightly sealed, the steel coil will not rust even if it is sunk into the water.
What are the differences between cold rolled steel and hot rolled steel in physical properties and chemical composition?
Cold rolling has low hardness, easy processing and good ductility, but it is easy to form cold stress and is not easy to eliminate; Hot rolling has high hardness, difficult processing, high strength and not easy to deform
The difference between cold rolled steel and hot rolled steel lies not in the smelting process, but in the rolling temperature, or the ending temperature of rolling steel. If the final rolling temperature is lower than the recrystallization temperature of steel, it becomes cold rolled steel. Hot rolled steel is easy to roll and has high rolling efficiency, but under the condition of hot rolling, the steel is oxidized and the product surface is dark and gray. Cold rolled steel requires high mill power and low rolling efficiency, and intermediate annealing is also required to eliminate work hardening in the rolling process, so the cost is also high. However, the surface of cold rolled steel is bright and of good quality, which can be directly used to process finished products. In particular, cold rolled steel plate is widely used.
The chemical composition and mechanical properties of cold-rolled and hot-rolled steel plates are different.
Of course, it is possible that one indicator is the same, but other indicators will certainly not be the same. For example 45# in cold rolling and hot rolling, the carbon content in the chemical composition is the same (45 carbons or close to 45 carbons), but in others, the chemical composition (Si, Mn, P, s, etc.) and mechanical properties will certainly not be the same. The obvious distinction in surface aspect is not mentioned for the time being, otherwise the two can be replaced.
